Why duplicate a page?

Whether you’re running a portfolio, personal, or e-commerce website; there are times you want to expand, improve, or reuse content on one of your web pages.

Instead of copying and pasting content repeatedly, you can just duplicate the existing Elementor page. This technique is especially helpful when you have a lot of content to repurpose.

Each Elementor website kit will vary in terms of what it contains. Most will have headers, which typically include a navigation menu with buttons. Likewise, you’ll normally find a footer containing contact information, a website map, and social media links. Kits often provide you with common page templates like the 404 error page, About us page, and more. You’ll also find that kits provide you with global colors and global fonts that you can change after importing them. Elementor website kits are created to give you a common theme or style, so it’s a good rule of thumb to import every element of the kit together. However, there are certain circumstances where you may want to apply only certain parts of a kit. For instance, you may only want the 404 page or header of a certain kit to use on your site. Note: Using elements of two different kits on your site is possible, but should only be done by experienced Elementor users.

Why should you use global fonts and colors?

When you’re building a website, your fonts and colors should be the same across your entire site to improve the overall look. If fonts and colors vary among pages or parts, your users can become confused. This can negatively impact user retention and may cost you sales.

You can also use font and color continuity across your site to reinforce your brand and help users remember it. Font and color continuity helps keep your brand relevant and ensures customers will remember and come to you when they need a product or service.

How do I change Global Fonts and Colors?

There are four default groups of fonts and colors – Primary, Secondary, Text, and Accent.

In the example below, we’ll modify all items labeled Primary on your site.

Change a global font:
  1. Click Global Fonts.
  2. Go to the font labelled Primary (it’s listed under System Fonts).
  3. Select the Pencil icon
  4. Change attributes in the Typography menu.
  5. Close the menu.
